Jovanka Trbojević (1963, Serbia/Finland) attended primary and secondary schools in Belgrade. At the same time she finished primary and secondary music schools Mokranjac, the Department for Piano in the class of Prof. Radojka Jovičić-Milosavljević. She studied piano at the Music Academy in Prague, in the class of Prof. Dagmar Valoghova (1981–86). From 1987 she received advanced training at Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, and from 1989 to 1997 she was a full-time student of composition at this school.

Jovanka Broz (born Budisavljević, Serbian Cyrillic: Јованка Броз, born Будисављевић; 7 December 1924 – 20 October 2013) was First Lady of Yugoslavia as the wife of Yugoslav leader Josip Broz Tito. She was a lieutenant colonel in the Yugoslav People's Army. She was married to Tito from 1952 until his death in 1980. Following her husband's death, all of her property was seized and she moved to a state-owned villa, where she reportedly lived under virtual house arrest.

Jovanka Trbojević (March 27, 1963 – May 12, 2017) was a Yugoslavian-born Finnish composer. She was born in Bosnia and grew up in Belgrade. She studied at the Mokranjac Music School and continued with studies in piano at the Prague Music Academy and composition at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. She studied composition with Eero Hämeenniemi and Paavo Heininen in Helsinki. She composed chamber music, orchestral music and operas as well as music for film and television. Her radiophonic work Creation Game received the Prix Italia
