White Feathers is the debut album by British new wave band Kajagoogoo, released on 18 April 1983 and the only album by the band to-date to feature lead vocalist Limahl. It was produced by Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran and Colin Thurston, who was Duran Duran's producer at the time, except for track the self-titled "Kajagoogoo", an instrumental (with some lyrics sung only in live performances), which was produced by Tim Palmer and the band.

Kajagoogoo, whether by name or their over the top image, is probably one of the reasons why most people dislike the Eighties. Well, the irony is - the Eighties needed this kind of decadence to push things forward, or at least push them around for the time being. It seemed all you ever needed is a ridiculous haircut to go along Top of the Pops and make it big. New Romantics in particular never denied that fact themselves. Some of them aimed for the kitch factor and scored it big - at least for a moment.

Album White Feathers. White Feathers Lyrics. When love takes hold again Controlling how you feel About me, about men I've got these friends who Mimic flowers forever in my way And dance on their enormity Like celebration day So innocently similar You can't tell them apart That weight so heavy on my heart. Cos they've been here for years Friends of mine, white feathers Collecting dust with tears Making mine, white feathers One more shot and then down I go my lady Down I go just maybe down I go m. .

Their debut album, White Feathers, is filled with similarly lightweight synth pop like "Magician Man," "Ooh to Be Ah," "Ergonomics," "This Car Is Fast," and the theme song "Kajagoogoo. All of these are pleasantly danceable in a sub-Duran Duran fashion, but they are also frequently inane and ridiculous, and are of no use to anyone but hardcore new wave fetishists.

White Feathers is the debut album by the British new wave band Kajagoogoo, released in spring 1983. This self-titled song was featured in the John Hughes movie Sixteen Candles as the film's opening title song in 1984. After the band was featured on the VH1 program Bands Reunited in 2003, renewed interest in Kajagoogoo prompted the band's original label EMI to re-issue their original debut album in 2004.
