A Cross the Universe is a live album by Justice, released in 2008. Its title is a play on words referencing the Beatles song "Across the Universe", and the band's own album †. Contents. 1 CD. 2 CD track listing. CD. The live portion of this release was recorded at a concert in San Francisco, California at the Concourse Exhibition Center, on March 27, 2008. The CD also came with a DVD of the film of the same name: A Cross the Universe.

So A Cross the Universe is a fairly interesting take on one of the more controversial electronic acts in years- interesting, at least, if you're not entirely concerned with a vivid and rich-sounding document of their live show. The funny thing is, neither the album or the documentary portions of A Cross the Universe do the most ideal job of capturing their set, which seems like an intentional anti-hubris move on their part.

The album's title is a play on words of The Beatles song "Across the Universe". A Cross the Universe (album).

A Cross the Universe isn't close to anyone's definitive idea of what a document of a live Justice show should be, but it's a diverting, sometimes-bizarre look into the first phase of fame for an aughts-era cult pop phenomenon. All the songs you hear on the original album Cross are here in a new version. Longer, better, noisier and more underground. Every song get mixed up with the rest. Special versions of some songs get attention; Phantom Pt., Final-song, Genesis - and of course - Waters of Nazareth. It's incredible how Justice keep building up to climax after climax. The first song on the album, Genesis, has 3 climax's after the first 4 minutes. And then w're nothing but done yet. In short, this is, one of the - or maybe the - best electronic-live album of the 00's
