The singer Emeli Sandé is ready to make his return to the music industry. She released, on September 15th, the two cover options from their second studio album, ‘Long Live the Angels’, standard and deluxe, avaliable below on this same page. The album have 18 tracks including the single Hurts, a track that brings Sandé singing about an extremely painful relationship that hurts her deeply, guided by a great percussion, trumpets and dense electronic splashes.

Emeli Sandé, Long Live The Angels ★★★★☆ Download: Selah; Give Me Something; I’d Rather Not; Garden; Sweet Architect Emeli Sandé’s long-awaited follow-up to the hugely successful Our Version Of Events is, at least in part, a break-up album – although her separation from her partner Adam Gouraguine was perhaps signalled even as she was marrying him back around her debut’s 2012. Not that the usual soul belters are entirely absent from Long Live The Angels. Tracks like Every Single Little Piece and Highs & Lows are big, radio-friendly chartbound anthems, ebullient and eager to please; but the more interesting aspects of the album are to be found in less formulaic arrangements, such as Give Me Something, which opens with an acoustic guitar flourish pointedly recalling The Tracks Of My Tears, before settling into a folk-soul setting clearly.

Hurts" is a song by Scottish recording artist Emeli Sandé. It was written by Sandé along with James Murray, Mustafa Omer, Matthew Holmes, and Philip Leigh for her second album Long Live the Angels (2016), while production was helmed by Mojam and duo Mac & Phil. Built around layers of percussion and double quick hand claps, the song was released as the album's lead single on 16 September 2016 through Virgin Records in the United Kingdom.

Overexposed’ doesn’t begin to do justice to how ubiquitous the Scots-Zambian singer became in the 18 months following that album’s release – for a while it felt as if the BBC, the Brits and her record label were colluding in jamming a feeding tube down the nation’s oesophagus until the pop-soul gruel came oozing out of our tear ducts. For Sandé herself, meanwhile, such sudden, all-pervasive fame came at a high personal cost of its own. In 2014 she went through a painful divorce from her long-term partner after just one year of marriage.

The British pop star Emeli Sandé writes power ballads that start at cinematic and scale upward. Her second album places that massive voice atop tracks of stately but interchangeable gloom. For the better part of the 2010s, the role of British misery troubadour has been occupied by two people named Adele: Adele Laurie Blue Adkins-the Adele-Adele-and Adele Emily Sandé. Industry-wise, they occupy much the same niche: colossal-voiced balladeers of inoffensive angst and outlier sales. But the two artists are subtly different. The mononymic Adele’s music is rooted in Northern soul and not much else; when she brought popmaker Max Martin in for 25 it was both surprising and, for Max, restrained.
