Das Racist's Brooklyn-buzz affiliations and humorous bent might mislead you into thinking it's an exercise in cheap laffs for people who don't take rap seriously, but this album feels a lot more like the irreverent hip-hop fanboy mania of ego trip magazine than smarmy genre tourism. Himanshu Kumar Suri aka "Heems" and Victor Vazquez have something elaborate going on, toying with and subverting the rules of hip-hop lyricism even as they pay them respect.

Brooklyn duo Das Racist has released a mixtape called Shut Up, Dude. What's not to love? Well, it's Regine's last podcast.

Sister in the dark with a flashlight I'm walking through the park in the lamp light, I'm a shark on the lamb with the Land mines, darts in the damn eye of the bull The mouth is the eyes of the soul, the soul is the ass of the brain The brain is the back of the train, back of the. bus Acting and such, crack, discuss, act with us Or pack it up, or slice the price to twice as nice and jack it up Who gives a fuck what I'm talking bout? Walk it out, knock em out the spot, let em talk it out Do the wop, baseball bat, all that Fall back, give a fuck about what you wanna call that.

They need to press this on vinyl for the 10 year anniversary which is next year! Yeah!
Mot
Dreaming of the day this will find its way on vinyl... One of the most leftfield hip hop records out there.
AfinaS
Fuck me too, i just came to check if it ever was pressed. Damn.
SARAND
Some very memorable songs on hear and some more abstract ones that may deter less-enthusiastic fans, but at the same time draw some in.
