Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band is a live rock supergroup with shifting personnel, led by former Beatles drummer and vocalist Ringo Starr. Since 1989, Starr has toured with fourteen variations of the band, where "everybody on stage is a star in their own right. Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band is a concept that was created by producer David Fishof. The band has consistently toured for over three decades, and rotates its line-up depending on availability of musicians and at Starr's discretion

Ringo had always depended on his friends to support his solo career, but this extended the concept to one in which he served as a sort of master of ceremonies. The tour was a success; it guaranteed a night of good and varied music, and it was fun. As a record, of course, it was redundant, but still fun. Track Listing.

Ringo Starr poses for a portrait on in June, in New York. Starr is currently on a . tour with his All-Starr band. His latest album, 2015’s Postcards From Paradise is peppered with examples. Every time I do a record, and if you listen to the last six albums, there’s an homage to Liverpool and Rory, he said. He pointed to the lead track on Postcards, called Rory and the Hurricanes, which features the lines, Next time we went to London town, We didn’t do much hangin’ around, I was with you know who, I played the drums like I always do. You know who, he said, was the Beatles

After taking a hiatus from his solo career following 1983's Old Wave, Starr spent the next few years making TV appearances and guesting on other artists' recordings and gigs, as well as recording an album that would remain unissued. In 1988, however, he and wife Barbara Bach accepted that they both were suffering from alcoholism and took steps to rehabilitate themselves. Once Starr was sober, he felt the need to work again. Before delving into an album, he wanted to hit the road – but with a difference

Ringo Starr is hitting the road next year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his All Starr Band. Joining him will be Toto’s Steve Lukather, Santana’s Gregg Rolie, Men at Work’s Colin Hay, t Warren Ham, drummer Gregg Bissonette and Hamish Stuart. It’s essentially the same lineup as the 2018 All Starr Band, though Stuart (who toured as an All Starr in 2006 and 2008) is taking the place of 10cc’s Graham Gouldman
