Dukinos
1984 must be some kind of gimmick, because this is one huge adaptation of The Art Of Noise’s 1983 release Beat Box, including ultra sec drum computer, environmental noises, orchestral components and even the voice samples. New Order’s gunning beat salvo from Blue Monday seems to be sampled in somewhere too and I can’t help but hearing some Indeep riff on the last overscratched track too. I’m sure others will discover other tunes apart from those mentioned and since all this has nothing to do with Bill Laswell nor Buckethead nor with the later work from Praxis, this must be some kind of joke. Were they taking a piss here on all those emerging catchy eighties tunes? Who will tell, it certainly is absolute fun!
