A compilation of Godstar songs from 1992-1995. Taken from the Sleeper, Coastal, Way Out Jim and September albums, plus assorted single releases.

Ersatz: All about romance and a rock and roll fanzine called Ersatz.
Lie Down Forever: All about wanting to escape
Pushpin: For Polly, Emily and Jonathan Richman
The Brightest Star: Inspired by US band The Velvet Crush
Every Now And Then: A song co-written and recorded with Alannah Russack from the Hummingbirds. Written on tour in Winter 1991 at the Pepple Court Motel, St Kilda.
Way Out Jim: This song is about not wanting to see Nico in concert and being disappointed
Forgotten Night: Infidelity and love in the late 80s!
Has She Got Your Time Now?: Written for Godstar by Sally Seltmann (when she was Sally Russell and in Sydney band Lustre 4). From the final Godstar recording session in 1995 and released on a 7" single under the name The Godstar Reminder (Blind Records 1996)
Bad Bad Implications: Nic, Tom and Alison and a song about aluminium foil and modern primitives.
Speak Memory Speak: A song from 1985, originally done by the Plunderers and then covered by Bernie Hayes (on his first album)
Table For One: This is the album version. "Everyone said we'd get back together, but give me a table for one 'cause they're all wrong".
Rain 14: Recorded at Troy Horse. We went over a multi-track tape which had some opera on it, so that's a backwards opera singer there at the beginning.
Watch Out Bicycle: Drums recorded at the Fillmore West, San Francisco 1994. Everything else recorded at Troy Horse March 1995 with help from John Encarnacao on the keyboards
Valentine Tour: November 1991. My Bloody Valentine toured Australia. For Tom and Evan.
Another Spring, Another Love: Written in Holland 1992. Title taken from a Marlene Dietrich song of the same name.
Look-A-Like: Written and recorded in Glasgow, Scotland.
Everything You Give Me Breaks: Drums by Alison Galloway. Erich Luening smashes the beer bottle in the Fort Apache/Rounder Records carpark.
Kitchen: The original Kitchen. Alison Galloway: handclaps. Covered later by the Hummingbirds and the Lemonheads.
Pacman: Written in 1988. Recorded at Troy Horse on Valentine's Day 1994 except the pinball machine recorded at 'Mississippi Nights', St Louis December 1993
Forever Snowing Inside: Recorded March 1995 by John Rafferty at Troy Horse
Single: "And I'll see you in October!"

Stardust Memories is a 1980 American comedy-drama film written and directed by Woody Allen and starring himself, Charlotte Rampling, Jessica Harper, Marie-Christine Barrault and Sharon Stone in her film debut. The film is about a filmmaker who recalls his life and his loves - the inspirations for his films - while attending a retrospective of his work. The film is shot in black and white and is reminiscent of Federico Fellini's 8½ (1963), which it parodies.
