The Best of Brenda Lee. Do Right Woman, Do Right Man Lyrics. Do Right Woman, Do Right Man is found on the album The Best of Brenda Lee. Found on more albums: Memphis Portrait.

You gotta be true right, oh, not my man. They say this is a man's world, but you can't prove that by me. And if we're gonna stay together, now have a little respect for me. 'Cause if you wanna do right, oh, dear woman. You gotta be my true, oh not my man. You know, a woman's only human, oh, can't you understand? I said that she's not a plaything, she flesh and blood, just like any good man. I said, if you wanna do right, oh, if you wanna do right woman. Oh! You gotta be my do right, oh, not my man. I said, you gotta be my do right, oh, not my man. .

She sang rockabilly, pop and country music, and had 47 US chart hits during the 1960s, and is ranked fourth in that decade surpassed only by Elvis Presley, the Beatles and Ray Charles. She is known for her 1960 hit "I'm Sorry", and 1958's "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree", which has become a Christmas standard.

Brenda Lee. How did it feel when he kissed you goodbye? Don't know 'bout you girl, but talk about cry Here is the boat that we pedaled together It's raining forever 'cause we'll never have him again Sisters in sorrow, sisters in pain Sharing his linen, sharing his bed Sharing his linen, sharing his name People with heart, I know exactly how you feel I've had a ride on that. same ferris wheel Round and round on a spinner, the faster it feels Til it wheels you and deals you alone in the ride.

They cut 'Do Right Woman', it didn't sound right. She wouldn't even sing it. I think I sang it as it went down on the track. "She had put her sisters on it, she'd sang it over, she'd played piano herself, and I realised then you can make anything out of anything with a lot of tracks. I think maybe they had the bass drum and a snare and the bass that they used out of Alabama, and possibly the guitar. And it was such a wonderful record when they played it back.
